Northern Virginia

It can be lonely at the top, but it doesn’t have to be.

We know leaders limit their potential when they lead from isolation. But, when surrounded by trusted advisors with a common goal and a biblical worldview, they can maximize performance and energize cultures. With faith as the foundation, this powerful group of peers meet in an exclusive, confidential forums in the Washington D.C. area to have their questions answered and their answers questioned.

MIKE MAZAN

A lifelong student of business, Mike first started selling bulk candy to neighborhood children at a very young age. His entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow as an adult with some early training grounds and successes in business. In the early 90s, Mike founded Chesapeake Technology Group and shortly after The Server Company. In the late 90s Mike merged these two companies to form SolutionWorx. For over 25 years SolutionWorx helped organizations better leverage technology to achieve their business goals. Midway through his business career, Mike heard and explored a call to ordained ministry. While discerning ways to answer the call and serve others, he started to intertwine business and ministry, ultimately developing a vision of business as a platform for marketplace ministry. Mike is a trusted advisor and expert in IT, entrepreneurial business, and business as ministry. He shares his time and talents as a board member for a number of for profit, non-profit, and church organizations. Most importantly, Mike is Denise’s husband for over 25 years as well as father to their twins Matthew and Emily. The Mazan family resides in Leesburg, Virginia and is active at Cornerstone Chapel.

JIM MORGAN

Jim spent over 30 years in the Printing and Graphics industry in the DC Metro. Rising from sales to operations manager to President / Owner of the largest privately held printing company in the MidAtlantic with over 500 employees.  Growing and scaling organizations is a passion of Jim’s having worked with a wide variety of organizations on CEO advisory, leadership development, strategic planning, and sales growth transformation. I love helping people maximize their God-given potential. Jim and his wife, Kerry, met at Miami University and have been married for almost 35 years. CURT KEMP

Curt gained extensive experience in leadership, team-building, and leadership development during his 34 years in the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, prior to retiring as a Rear Admiral.  He was chief executive of several organizations during the latter half of his Navy career and has lived in many parts of the country, as well as overseas. After his military career, Curt served as Chief Operating Officer for Prison Fellowship, the largest prison ministry in the United States.  Having seen the amazing transformations that Jesus has worked in prisoners’ lives, Curt now looks forward as a C12 Chair to see how God will equip Christian business leaders in Northern Virginia to reach their full potential in the marketplace. Curt earned his B.S. in Management at the Naval Academy, his M.S. in National Security Affairs at the Naval Postgraduate School, and has done coursework toward a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership.  Curt has been married to his wife, Ann since 1974.  They have a son and a daughter, Ian and Casey, who both are married.  Both are part of Navy families and have provided their parents with the joy of three grandchildren.  Curt and Ann live in Leesburg, attend Cornerstone Chapel, and lead a church small group.  They enjoy numerous activities together, especially jogging, golf, and gardening.

“C12 is everything I was looking for and more of what I didn’t know I needed. My peers challenge me in my blind spots, love me in hard times, and encourage me to glorify God in the way I lead my team. It’s a home for business leaders.”
